DARREN BAKER GETS EARLY TRIP TO SPRING TRAINING

Most kids dream of going to MLB Spring Training once in their lifetime but for Darren Baker (of our Pastime Premier 11u) it is more commonplace.  Darren spent quality time recently with his father, Cincinnati Reds' manager Dusty Baker, at the Reds brand new training facility in Goodyear, Arizona.  The accompanying picture from the Cincinnati Enquirer shows Darren on the field with Reds' General manager Walt Jockety who asked him if he also pitches (6th starter for the Reds?).  Although Darren might not be ready for the Major Leagues, he is one of many fine hurlers on our 11u team.  On a side note, many of our Hard 90's families, in conjunction with Quick Sport Tours, are heading to Scottsdale, AZ for spring training from March 11-14.  They will see the aforementioned Reds play the Dodgers in Cactus League action as well as two other Giant games! MLB Baseball is right around the corner!!!
