SWINGS FOR SIDHU

Join us on March 2 and March 3 for Swings For Sidhu - A Fundraiser for Cassidy Sidhu. As many of you know, the Sidhu Family has been around the local baseball community for a long time and a part of Hard 90 since 2011 (Sham coaching, Cade playing and Cassidy working behind the desk.)

Unfortunately, Cassidy has developed a new brain tumor. This is devastating news for the family and those of us that know them. Expenses during this time of treatment are enormous and we want to help out!

The coaches at Hard 90 are hosting a fundraiser to help with expenses for the Sidhu Family. On March 2 and March 3, the coaches at Hard 90 are donating their time for private lessons - $50 per half hour. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Sidhu Family through The Hard 90 Foundation.

In addition, we will host a HitTrax tournament on Sunday, March 3. Entry fee will be $250 for teams of 5 to 6. Once again all proceeds will go to the Sidhu Family through the Hard 90 Foundation.

Call The Clubhouse at 916.365.4977 to reserve a spot.

Cassidy's Story:

On January, 2010 Cassidy, at age 11, was diagnosed with an aggressive, malignant brain tumor. Cassidy endured 2 brain surgeries, 6 weeks of brain radiation, and 12 cycles of 3 different types of chemotherapy. Because of the location of the tumor it could not be completely removed but it shrunk with the treatments. Cassidy has been off all treatment since April 2011. She continues to receive MRI’s every year, her scans have been completely stable. During the past 9 years Cassidy has lived a normal teenage life, she played softball, was captain of her high school dance team, worked and more recently has been attending college to become an elementary school teacher.

On January 1, 2019 Cassidy started having mild speech issues which prompted us to take her in (to UCSF) for a scan (two weeks before her yearly scan). Unfortunately, the MRI showed a new mass in her brain. We are in complete shock as her oncologist said the chances of a tumor coming back after this long were very small. Cassidy had a biopsy on January 15th and it was determined that it is a cancerous tumor once again. She will start brain radiation next week and we are still waiting to get exact pathology which will determine which therapies will target her tumor the best. (UCSF is very thorough and it takes a while). We never thought we would be going down this road again.
