4 Tips: In Season Training

With the baseball season only one month away, it is critical to start planning for in season baseball training. In season training is for ALL ages - Little League, Junior High and High School.

You have been working with a coach to get ready for the season. You have made significant gains in the off season. You are about to join your season teammates on a great journey.

That said it is critical you continue to train in season. Here are 4 things you can do to maintain your gains in season:

  1. Hitting: Train your hitting 5 to 6 days a week. Make the most of your team practices by following a plan and hitting with intent every chance you get. Video your at bats. Attend at least on High School Hitting workout or Power Hitting class a week and bring your video for review. This will allow you Hard 90 coach to help you stay on track.

  2. Pitching: It is critical to follow your team's throwing program and communicate this program to your Hard 90 Coach. Video your in game pitching. Review your video with your Hard 90 Coach. For High School Pitchers - Private Lessons are the best way to stay connected with your Hard 90 Coach. For youth players attending Power Pitching once a week is critical.

  3. Fielding: It is important to take fielding reps 4 to 5 days a week. These reps should include fundamental footwork and glove work drills. Hard 90's Power Infield will keep you at the top of your game.

  4. Strength and Conditioning: Understand your team's program. Many teams do not maintain strength and conditioning consistently during the season. Strive will help you maintain this program. Hard 90 coaches will work with you to understand your team's program and supplement the training appropriately.

It will be tempting to let a "busy" schedule get in the way of training - but the very BEST players manage their schedule and continue to train.
